Haiti Jan 2014-2  For students who are looking for ways to care for orphans, Global Training Program trips are a terrific option! These trips, designed for students age 15 to 22, are an incredible opportunity to explore not only God’s heart for orphans, but also to explore your own unique calling. Here are three great reasons to sign up for a short-term trip with Show Hope:

1. To Get Equipped

You will be equipped as an orphan care leader and adoption advocate. By experiencing another culture and caring for orphans with a personal, intentional approach, you will gain the skills necessary to begin leading and advocating for vulnerable children once you return home. You will gain valuable, firsthand knowledge that you can share with your peers in order to help them understand the urgency of this crisis.

2. To Grow in CommunityHaiti Jan 2014-21

You will grow in community as you and your fellow students spend time together, collectively discovering God’s heart for the fatherless. During Global Training Program trips, the Show Hope staff guides a training course focused on how God has called His people to care for orphans. This course will spur your team on, and you will find yourselves inspiring each other to continue to respond to this calling.

3. To Bring Light

Not only will you be immersing yourself in a different society, but you will also be traveling with a purpose. As you step out of the comfort and familiarity of your own home and engage with the needs of a foreign country, you will bring much-needed light into dark places.

These trips are a life-changing experience. If you are interested in further details or if you would like to read student testimonials from previous trips, click here.
