As we continue to press into the needs of orphans around the world, we know that it requires all of us, each with our own unique set of gifts, to holistically address the global orphan crisis. Show Hope partners with a number of wonderful orphan care ministries throughout the United States and it is so inspiring to watch the body of Christ step out in faith, working as one, to answer God’s call in James 1:27.

  1. Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO)

The Christian Alliance for Orphans is comprised of more than 140 Christian ministries, as well as many individuals and churches across the United States. The purpose of the alliance is to “inspire and equip Christians to reflect God’s heart in caring for orphans in adoption, foster care, and global orphan care initiatives.” CAFO fulfills this purpose by sponsoring the annual CAFO Summit, their Orphan Sunday campaign, and the Global Movements Initiative. CAFO is committed to both the spiritual and physical wellbeing of waiting children around the world.

  1. Focus on the Family

Focus on the Family’s “home base” for orphan ministry is iCareAboutOrphans.org. On this site you can find information about their one-day adoption recruitment events called Wait No More. These events, held at local churches across the country, raise awareness about the children in U.S. foster care who are waiting for their forever families. In addition to the Wait No More events, Focus on the Family provides valuable post-placement resources for adoptive families.

  1. Hope for Orphans

Hope for Orphans help equip laypeople and pastors in local churches to start ministries that will serve orphans in need. Hope for Orphans also provides materials, curricula, workshops, and conferences to further equip churches in their ministries to care for children who have been orphaned. Partnering with Show Hope and Focus on the Family, Hope for Orphans has helped create the awareness campaign called Cry of the Orphan.

  1. Tim Tebow Foundation

Tim Tebow Foundation’s Orphan Care Outreach has served to date more than 850 orphans in five countries. The Tim Tebow Foundation also partners with Show Hope to award financial grants so that more waiting children with special needs can come home to their families through adoption. This foundation has worked with Show Hope to award one adoption aid grant every month since June 2013, impacting children like Sabrina from Maria’s Big House of Hope.

As evidenced in the list above, we celebrate that our brothers and sisters in Christ are working so passionately to bring hope to orphans around the world. Working together, we look forward to all that God will do to bring deep healing and hope to orphans!
